(To be read in conjunction with the JNJG & GNSW Local Rules Hard Card and the Rules of Golf as adopted by the R&A)
OUT OF BOUNDS
- Beyond the course boundary fences, defined by the line between the course-side points at ground level of fence posts. On the 15th hole, out of bounds is defined by the course-side points at ground level of the white stakes with black tops, and fence posts to the east of the line of stakes.
- During play of the 9th hole, all areas to the left of this hole (west of), and north of this hole are out of bounds. This out of bounds area is defined by white stakes with black tops along the short practice fairway, and white and black dots along the carpark, around the pro-shop and along the walkway next to the clubhouse.
- During play of the 17th hole, all areas to the right of this hole (south of) are out of bounds. This out of bounds area is defined by white and black spots on the road kerb and whites stakes with black tops, and extends from the teeing ground to the eastern boundary fence.

Note: Stakes/fences defining Out of Bounds are treated as boundary objects and are immovable.
PENALTY AREAS
All penalty areas on the course are defined by red lines. (Refer Rule 17)
ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS
Ground Under Repair (GUR)
- Any area encircled by a white line
- Any bare patches which measure 30cm or greater, on the fairway (area mown to fairway height or less) of the hole being played
- In the General Area, any area of damage caused by an animal
- Any exposed tree roots in the fairway (area mown to fairway height or less) of the hole being played

Immovable Obstructions
- All constructed roads and paths on the course.
- Tree stakes and guards
- Stake and rope fences

No Play Zones
- Staked trees (including stakes/guards) are No Play Zones. If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a Penalty Area and it lies in or touches such a tree or such a tree interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player must take free relief under Rule 16.1f.
- 8th and 10th holes. The area between the 8th and 10th holes, defined by white stakes with blue tops, is a No Play Zone. Free relief must be taken from interference by the no play zone under Rule 16.1f.
- 9th hole. The gardens, cart path and BBQ areas north of the white lines on the cart path either side of the green are No Play Zones. If a ball is in any of these No Play Zones, the player must take free relief by dropping a ball in and playing it from the closest of the two drop zones. These dropping zones are relief areas under rule 14.3.
(Note: Rule 16.1e – Relief for Ball Not Found but in or on Abnormal Course Condition.
Ball Deflected by Power Line
If it is known or virtually certain that a player’s ball hit a power line or a wire or pole supporting a power line during play of the 18th hole, the stroke does not count. The player must play a ball without penalty from where the last stroke was played. (See Rule 14.6)
Wagga Wagga Country Club – Tournament Information
- Scorecard Return and Tournament Office
- A player’s scorecard is deemed officially returned to the Tournament Committee when the player has left the tournament office. Once the player has left the tournament office, no changes may be made to the scorecard.
- Players MUST move straight from the 18th green to the tournament office to complete and sign their scorecards.

- In the case of a player being unable to gain assistance from one of the numbers above, the player may proceed in accordance with the procedure outlined in Rule 20.1c(3) of the Rules of Golf and nominate to play a second ball. The player must report the facts of the situation to the Committee before returning the scorecard, even if the player scores the same with both balls.

- Maximum Score is a form of stroke play where a player’s score for a hole is capped a maximum number of strokes set by the committee. At JNJG Junior Masters Events, the maximum score for any hole is 10 strokes.

Make sure you keep up with the group in front, carry and use a sand bucket to replace divots, and fix all pitch marks on the greens. Let’s leave the course in the same condition as when we arrived!!
